Xplor Expands Programming of Vision 2005 Conference

Torrance, CA (April 19, 2005) – Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced an expansion to their annual leadership conference with the addition of one and a half days of professional development programs while opening the conference to all industry professionals from the electronic document, commercial printing, and communications professionals industries. The three-day conference, named “Vision 2005” has two components, a professional development program offering assistance to all business professionals, and a leadership program designed for, but not limited to, Xplor members that focuses on managing and growing their regional and chapter memberships. All participants have an option to attend either or both programs. The three-day conference will feature keynote David A. Goldsmith, consultant, speaker, author, coach, and entrepreneur, as well as co-founder of the Goldsmith Organization, LLC. and MetaMatrix Consulting Group, Inc. Mr. Goldsmith has been a professional speaker for nearly two decades and has covered topics that include change management, corporate and personal goal setting, strategic planning, using technology and communication, leadership, marketing and customer service. He has been delivering educational messages for over 19 years to various organizations and businesses such as the American Management Association, Citizen's Foundation, Syracuse University, the Wharton School of Business, National Federation of Independent Businesses, International Management Council, Professional Purchasing Association, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and SUNY College of Forestry. Mr. Goldsmith will open Saturday’s program in addition to facilitating the professional development program. In addition to Mr. Goldsmith’s keynote, Xplor’s Vision 2005 Conference will feature educational sessions that cover a breadth of topics for all business professionals including effective leadership development, team building, building and managing your career network, project management, time management, and elements of successful management. For Xplor’s membership, the conference will also host topics including acquiring and keeping members and customers, vision for 2005 and beyond, communication with members, leader-to-leader collaboration, as well as Xploring “What can Xplor headquarters do to help.” The conference will also feature two social events with networking opportunities on Friday and Saturday evening. The conference is open to all Xplor International and PIA/GATF members, as well as industry professionals from the electronic document, commercial printing, and communications industries. The Vision 2005 Conference in November augments the upcoming joint conference and exhibit with Graphics of the Americas held February 3-5, 2006, in Miami Beach, Florida (Xplor's conference begins February 1st).
