Weyerhaeuser President Fulton replaces Rogel as CEO

NEW YORK, April 17  - Forest owner and timber company Weyerhaeuser Co said on Thursday that its board elected its president, Daniel Fulton, to the additional post of chief executive officer and a member of the board, effective immediately.

Fulton, who has served as president since Jan. 1, assumes the role of CEO from Steven Rogel, who remains chairman in a nonexecutive role, the Federal Way, Washington-based company said.

Weyerhaeuser also announced that Mark Emmert, president of the University of Washington, would join the company's board effective June 1.
