BROOMFIELD, Colo.--June 13, 2005-- In order to increase the availability of its storage network to meet business continuance objectives, Quad/Graphics, a billion-dollar printing company in Sussex, Wisconsin, implemented Intrepid(R) 6140 Directors from McDATA Corporation, a leading provider of storage networking solutions. With the directors, Quad/Graphics consolidated its network, improved availability and uptime, and provided centralized SAN management via McDATA SANavigator(R) software. With McDATA's business continuance solution, Quad/Graphics can globally deliver printing, media, management, finishing and distribution services 24/7. Since this implementation, Quad/Graphics purchased two additional Intrepid 6140 directors for a separate BC/DR project integrating FICON into their open systems SAN. "Quad/Graphics needed higher availability for its printing business applications. Any outage to the SAN, which hosts our major applications, would be very disruptive to business operations.
