EFI and USADATA Form Alliance to Integrate Prospect Databases into Web-to-Print Software Applications
Press release from the issuing company
MIAMI--June 13, 2005-- EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, today announced an alliance with USADATA, Inc. of New York, NY, that will provide access to privacy-assured prospect databases through EFI's print-ordering solutions. USADATA's List Module(TM) has been integrated into EFI's web-to-print software and the new turnkey direct mail solution is being demonstrated for the first time at the annual EFI Connect users' conference taking place through June 15th. USADATA is a Sponsor of the EFI Connect event that is expected to draw hundreds or printers seeking innovative solutions that provide competitive advantage and streamline operations.
"Integrating lists into web-to-print applications is one of the key trends in the market today," according to Chuck Gehman, Director of Product Marketing for EFI. "Many of our print-provider customers have requested list integration for their clients who execute targeted prospect mail campaigns. By integrating EFI's online print-ordering application with USADATA's List Module, users can now order their entire direct mail campaign using corporate-approved mailers and lists in minutes."
EFI's web-to-print solutions - including Printchannel, EFI PrinterSite Exchange and EFI PrinterSite Fulfillment - provide simple interfaces that allow print customers to log on to branded print-ordering interfaces, view PDF proofs of their documents for immediate review and approval, and enter job specifications for production and finishing.
The List Integration upgrade provides users the ability to get fresh mailing lists and sales leads by specifying their targeting criteria and getting a count of available prospects. Bruce Meberg, Vice President for USADATA, said, "By providing 24/7 access to top-quality competitively-priced consumer and business mailing lists and sales leads, printers, direct marketing agencies and their customers with the List Integration option will now be able to order personalized mail campaigns using EFI's applications. Each customer's implementation can be tailored to maximize mail campaign ROI using the data and criteria most likely to generate the highest response rates."
USADATA's List Module v2.0 is the most advanced list integration application available on the market today. The application provides three layers of real-time data suppression that eliminates the need for print-providers to de-duplicate list records from prior orders or from reference files (such as Do Not Contact records or existing customer records to be removed from prospecting campaigns). Gehman added, "Our new list integration solution extends the workflow efficiency available through EFI's applications by automating time-consuming and error prone merge/purge operations so printers can focus on customer satisfaction and quality service instead of performing extra data processing steps."
Meberg noted, "The List Module interface is based on the same simple online wizard that has been used tens of thousands of times to order privacy-assured lists from USADATA. It has been specifically developed to provide a fast, easy way for small businesses, sales representatives, and field support staff in a wide variety of industries with no prior training to order their list in less than two minutes."
USADATA databases are integrated today with Printchannel - an EFI web-based ordering solution featuring VDP and template-based imposition used by more than 100 printers and 2000+ corporate customers - and will soon be available for PrinterSite Exchange and PrinterSite Fulfillment.
