April 18, 2008 (North Canton, Ohio). Mr. Phil Trembly, National Sales Manager of GEI WideFormat, a Visual Edge Technology Company, has announced the appointment of two experienced professionals to GEI's large format solutions sales team. Mr.Darrell Burchfield will become Dealer Sales Manager for the Western Region and Mr. Michael Yates has filled the position for the Southeastern Region of the United States.
"It was very important for us to place individuals in these territories who are fully versed in all aspects of wide format category management, with proven skills in creating customized solutions focused on the customer," said Mr. Trembly. "We are extremely pleased to have such talented professionals, each having both sales and service expertise, managing these critical positions."
Mr. Burchfield began his career over 30 years ago as a copier technician with Xerox and has progressed through a variety of service and sales positions over the years with world class equipment manufacturers such as Mita, Katun, Savin, Konica, and Nevill. Over the last three years he has been with GEI WideFormat where his most recent position was National Manager of North American Service Operations. In that role, he directed all Regional Service Managers and oversaw the management of Dispatch, Parts, Training and Professional Services.
Mr. Yates has spent the last ten years growing his professional sales skills with Tekgraf Corporation. His last position there was as National Account Manager where he was responsible for developing and growing national reseller accounts with focus on solvent and aqueous inkjet printer sales. Prior to that he was National Techsage and EFI Product Champion as well as Corporate Account Manager for the Centiv Division of Tekgraf. The twenty years before Tekgraf were spent in production and management in the commercial printing industry.
