Agfa Expands Capabilities in Display and Production Tracking System

Dallas, TX – NEXPO (Booth #1341) – March 19, 2005 – Agfa announced today the availability of the latest version of the popular :Ad Manager system. :Ad Manager, a highly flexible, custom-built complete display ad production and tracking system, provides newspapers the ability to easily build and manage the creation of display ads. :Ad Manager 6 comes with new features, supports additional applications, expands web proofing functionality and offers AdsML support.

:Ad Manager 6 now includes many new features, including:
Expanded Pickups – pickup of graphic files that are in the ad document. This pickup feature automates the management of graphic files, saves on live storage space and simplifies the ad builder's operations
AdsML support – the international XML format standard provides the means by which advertising data is exchanged for all kinds of advertising systems, in all media and through all stages of the lifecycle of an advertisement. The support of this standard format allows for easy data exchange with many advertising production systems
Increased Proofing Capabilities – featuring customized electronic proofing display and display fields; the capability for advertisers to provide comments directly on the electronic proof document and deliver these comments back to the :Ad Manager system; and the expanded capability to deliver the proofs via various electronic avenues
Expanded Reporting – the :AdSuite client's new features and benefits aid in the ad-building and tracking of display advertisements, which simplify the production process, save production time and automate the advertising operations.
Additional Third-party Support.
:Ad Manager 6 also supports the latest versions of third-party ad building applications, including QuarkXPress 6.5, InDesignTM CS, Multi-Ad Creator 7. The new :Ad Manager also supports the legacy applications including: Creator Classic, Creator 2, and QuarkXPress 4.11.
