Press release from the issuing company
WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Feb. 14 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, and GBC, a market leader in the manufacturing and distribution of laminating and binding products, have announced that GBC's StreamPunch(R) is now compatible with Ricoh Aficio 2051, 2060, and 2075 digital imaging systems. Already in use with Ricoh Aficio 2090, 2105, 1060, and 1075 systems, the StreamPunch(R)'s additional compatibility with the new generation of printers strengthens GBC and Ricoh's ability to support the growing needs of Ricoh's customers.
Designed to streamline the document production process, the GBC StreamPunch(R) produces perfectly punched copies at rated system speed. The selected printers run at speeds from 51 to 105 pages per minute (ppm).
"The StreamPunch(R) delivers the speed and accuracy demanded in high- production environments," says Rick McCallion, vice president of Technology and Partnering for GBC. "This cost-effective solution eliminates the extra step of manually punching; Ricoh owners save time and labor. A single operator can manage the entire high-speed production system while producing ready-to- bind documents." With interchangeable dies, the GBC StreamPunch(R) supports five popular binding styles: ColorCoil(TM), WireBind, CombBind(TM), VeloBind(R), and Three-Ring.
"Ricoh addresses customers' requirements for streamlining their finishing process in corporate and production environments," said Hede Nonaka, vice president of Marketing for Ricoh Corporation. "This new offering is clearly a differentiator in demanding workgroup environments."
McCallion adds, "GBC is proud that Ricoh has made the StreamPunch(R) available with the Aficio 2051, 2060, and 2075 high speed printers in addition to the Aficio 2090, 2105, 1060, and 1075 systems. The innovative online StreamPunch(R) has been a welcomed solution for the digital imaging marketplace."
The GBC StreamPunch is marketed through the entire Ricoh family group, including Lanier, Savin and Gestetner, which are wholly owned subsidiaries.
