Bruce R. James Marks 299th Anniversary Of Benjamin Franklin's Birth In L.A.

Press release from the issuing company

Mr. James addressed the Los Angeles Chapter of the IAPHC on 19 January 2005, offering the seasoned and humorous insights of an inveterate entrepreneur confronting the web of bureaucracy. Mr. James was also inducted by Mr. Leahy as the IAPHC's newest member. The IAPHC was formed in 1919 at a time when many social and fraternal club-centered organizations took root. In recent times, due to diverse influences including the Internet, the rise of co-parenting and other sociological trends, the club concept in a wide variety of organizations has seen its foundation weaken as was chronicled in Robert Putnam's "Bowling Alone" book. The members of the IAPHC appreciate the truth that there is strength in numbers, and have therefore decided to define the club concept in much broader terms. The once local club is now the entire global graphic community. Accordingly, IAPHC - The Graphic Professionals Resource Network, reaches out to any graphic professional in any region of the world. Using the Internet as the backbone of a web of connection, the IAPHC and its thousands of members enthusiastically embrace their new purpose and mission to connect, educate and inform members located anywhere in the global graphic community."
