Press release from the issuing company

(Dartford, UK) January 27, 2005 — Nipson Digital Printing Systems PLC has appointed Robert Stabler as president of its North American operations as of January 1, 2005.  Alain Flament, who previously held this position, has moved on to a newly created position as Nipson’s global chief marketing officer.   “In 2004 we had a successful IPO, introduced two new innovative VaryPress printing systems, demonstrated new applications, and expanded our sales and service capabilities,” said Alfons Buts, managing director of Nipson Digital Printing Systems PLC.  “The expansion of Nipson’s executive leadership team is part of our strategic growth plan.  We are looking forward to even more forward momentum in 2005 with this team.”  Robert Stabler comes to Nipson after serving as president of Agfa’s Graphic Systems North America business, where he played a key role in transitioning Agfa into digital markets.  As president of Nipson North America, Stabler will drive growth in the U.S. and Canada, as well as develop strategic partnerships to further penetrate and grow new markets for Nipson’s digital printing systems. “Nipson’s technology has always been driven by the needs of its customers and the markets they serve,” said Stabler.  “I look forward to working with Nipson’s team to ensure that this technology is brought to new users throughout the region and continues to help our current customers grow and reach their business goals.” “North America is a major focus for Nipson and Robert will play a key role in our growth here,” said Buts.  “I am confident that his experience and knowledge of the North American digital printing market will help us build on the momentum that Alain Flament has generated.” As chief marketing officer, Alain Flament will oversee global marketing and business development activities for the company and help leverage the benefits of Nipson’s technology in markets worldwide.  Flament has numerous years of experience in the digital printing industry, including the introduction of the first Nipson VaryPress, as well as many successful partnerships that have integrated Nipson printers with traditional presses and finishing equipment for complete end-to-end solutions. “Nipson users are building their businesses in a wide range of geographic regions and markets,” said Flament.  “In this new position I will coordinate the communications from within Nipson to help leverage our customers’ successes to drive sales and further expand Nipson’s user base.”
