Press release from the issuing company

KENNESAW, Ga., January 12, 2004 – Complete Printing Services, a high-end commercial print shop located in Marietta, Ga., announced today that it has installed a six-color Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74 perfecting press with coater and Axis Control in order to meet increasing demand for process plus additional PMS color and metallic printing. “We’ve had a substantial increase in the number of clients requiring that we have aqueous coating on all our presses, so upgrading to the Speedmaster SM 74 was essential,” said Kelly Carlin, owner and chief executive officer of Complete Printing Services. “In addition to new printing capabilities, the press has improved our make-ready times significantly, and that has enabled us to get more jobs through the shop. This improvement has increased our bottom line significantly.” With the ability to print both short and long runs efficiently, the extensively automated Speedmaster SM 74 provides great flexibility. The press offers innovative solutions for handling most commercial printing requests. With its aqueous coating and AxisControl closed-loop color system, the SM 74’s advanced technologies enable companies like Complete Printing Services to produce higher quality work that holds true to color throughout the run. “Heidelberg continues to look at new ways to develop and improve upon the methods printers use to delight their customers,” said John Dowey, Heidelberg Vice President Product Management, Sheetfed. “The Speedmaster SM 74 is a potent tool in a printer’s arsenal, and when it is further enhanced with our closed-loop color control and dedicated coating unit, the SM 74 really positions Complete Printing for accelerated growth both with existing customers, and into new markets.” Currently, Complete Printing Services uses the new press to produce projects ranging from pocket and presentation folders to booklets to envelopes. A long-time Heidelberg customer, the family-owned and operated general commercial printer also has a five-color Speedmaster SM 52 perfector with inline coater, two-color GTO, several POLAR cutters and Stahl folders. “Heidelberg equipment is the standard in the printing industry,” said Carlin. “When we needed to upgrade, it was a natural fit to go with the Speedmaster SM 74. The quality and service that Heidelberg provides is the benchmark in the industry and that allows us to provide the highest quality product to our clients. The company’s local presence and continual dedication to customer satisfaction were driving forces behind our decision to install the new press.” Founded in 1988, Complete Printing Services has experienced steady growth since its inception. The company now has a staff of 32 employees and services local and national clients by providing print production, mailing and on-line fulfillment services.
