Press release from the issuing company
Ann Arbor, Mich. (December 6, 2004) – Progressive Color Media LLC, a Flint Ink company providing a full range of workflow color management solutions integrating hardware, software and services, has added remote monitor proofing to its product and service portfolio. Remote Director, a remote color proofing device, is now available to Progressive Color Media customers through a partnership with Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), a technology leader in providing monitor color proofing solutions. As an ICS-certified consultant, Progressive Color Media will advise, install and train its customers on Remote Director proofing systems.
"We are pleased to have been selected by Integrated Color Solutions as a certified service provider for Remote Director. Remote Director is a unique solution for anyone who has dealt with time-consuming hard proofing rounds," says Diane Watt, president of Progressive Color Media. "Monitor proofing technology is a key addition to our service model as we continue to create efficiencies for all participants in the color media workflow.”
Remote Director is a software application that allows multiple reviewers working in different locations, such as ad agencies, photographers, prepress shops and printers, to review, collaborate and comment on projects on-line. The device creates significant enhancements in product review to help reduce proofing times and reworks. Remote Director is the color management industry’s first SWOP-certified (Specifications for Web Offset Publications) monitor proofing system.
“Progressive Color Media’s team has an in-depth technical understanding of the science of color and of color management hardware and software, which was simply critical to us in choosing certified suppliers for Remote Director,” adds John Sweeney, ICS vice president of Sales and Marketing. “Their staff has been thoroughly trained by us to ensure their customers a smooth transition and complete integration of our remote proofing system.”
