R&E Council Names Brown Printing's Scott Repa Pressroom Operations Manager Of The Year

White Stone, VA, November 2004— The Research & Engineering Council of the National Association for Printing Leadership has named Scott Repa, Pressroom Operations Manager at Brown Printing, East Greenville, Pennsylvania, its third Pressroom Operations Manager of the Year. The award, presented at the 30th annual R&E Council Productivity in the Pressroom Conference in Chicago, on November 16, recognizes an individual who personifies the principles of leadership in pressroom management, and who has a proven record of providing outstanding service for customers and creating value for his or her company. The 2003 award was presented to Mike Popp, Vice President of Press Operations, Quad/Graphics, Sussex, WI; the 2002 award was presented to David Knoff, Vice President of Manufacturing for Arandell Corporation, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. In announcing the award, Ron Mihills, managing director of the R&E Council of NAPL said: “This award was created to honor those who excel in the challenging arena of pressroom operations,” said Ron Mihills, managing director of the R&E Council of NAPL.” Repa, upon accepting the award, observed: “The printing business is a never-ending opportunity to learn.
