SAN DIEGO, CA - November 24, 2004 - Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, today announced the release of iCONVERT v9.04, a robust transform engine that converts IPDS data streams into PCL, PDF, PostScript and TIFF output formats to satisfy a wide variety of printing and electronic presentation requirements. iCONVERT v9.04 has been enhanced to support high density two dimensional (2D) barcodes, streamline PDF workflow operations, and simplify configuration management, enabling users to save time and become more productive. Version 9.04 of iCONVERT includes added support for information-rich 2D barcodes, which are capable of encoding more information in smaller spaces than traditional linear 1D barcodes, leaving additional space on the page for important written communications. Users of 2D barcodes also benefit from enhanced data security because they cannot be read by the human eye and have a built-in redundancy of characters which virtually ensures 100% accuracy.
