Compatible with QuarkXPress 6, Quark License Administrator 3.3 will now support multiple administrators on one server to simplify and streamline management and will allow for remote license checkouts so that freelancers and remote employees can access QuarkXPress licenses without needing to connect to a local network. If a license is available, the request is fulfilled and a license is checked out, allowing the QuarkXPress application to launch on the user's computer. When users exit the QuarkXPress application, the license is checked back in and becomes available to someone else. With Quark License Administrator 3.3, employees on the road whose QuarkXPress license is about to expire, or freelancers who need access to a license from elsewhere, can simply have the license sent to them in an e-mail message for quick activation off the network-it's easy and makes sense. Companies with QuarkXPress 5 and 6 can utilize the capabilities of the new software. Quark License Administrator, a server-based application, simplifies the installation and maintenance of Quark software throughout a company.
