New Boston-area Print Buyers' Club to Hold Inaugural Meeting

Press release from the issuing company

November 17, 2004 -- The Boston-area Print Buyers’ Club, a regional association for professional print buyers, graphic designers, and others who purchase a significant amount of commercial printing, has been organized by Dana Consulting, a company specializing in helping printers and print buyers communicate. The club’s first dinner meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 8th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, in downtown Boston. The club is designed to serve professional print buyers who seek regular opportunities to meet their peers throughout greater Boston, share insights about working with printers, network, socialize, and enjoy professional education opportunities. Margie Dana, president of Dana Consulting, will be spearheading this first-ever professional group. With a board comprised of the area’s elite print buyers and designers, she will plan meetings where members can learn from one another, discover job opportunities, and keep abreast of the printing industry. “New England print customers need a networking opportunity such as this club,” noted Dana, “where they can come together to socialize and learn from other buyers and designers.” Professional education is vital to serious, professional buyers and graphic designers. They need to hear about what’s new in printing, digital technologies, paper industry news, print management software, digital and variable data opportunities – the works! This peer organization will fill that need.” Pre-registration is required for the December 8th meeting, and seating is limited. Please contact Margie Dana at [email protected] or by phone at 617-730-5951 for more information on the upcoming December meeting as well as details about joining the Buyers’ Club or sponsoring future dinner meetings. Note: Printers, print brokers, and other manufacturers cannot be club members. However, dinner meetings will be sponsored by manufacturers who present an educational/informational topic that will enlighten the audience of members.
