CHICAGO, Nov. 3 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announced today that the Oce LightJet 430 photo laser printer won the 2004 Digital Printing and Imaging (DPI) Association's Product of the Year Award in the Output Device, Photo Print category. The award was presented at the association's annual conference, held in conjunction with the Specialty Graphics and Imaging Association (SGIA) conference in Minneapolis, October 6-9, 2004. DPI Product of the Year Awards compare output from competing devices using a common test file designed by DPI. The prints are reviewed by a panel of judges, each with a background and expertise in digital printing and imaging. The judges look for color appeal, detail and tonality, and the output is also judged on how closely it matches the test print. The Oce LightJet 430 previously won this award in 2001.
