Chicago, IL (October 13, 2004) At their annual meeting October 11, 2004 in Chicago, the International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4) announced the election of a distinguished international group of industry leaders to its Advisory Board and Board of Directors. Together, these individuals will help steer the future path of the CIP4 Organization. In the coming year, the Advisory Board will be focusing on extending JDF to cover broader areas of interoperability and providing improved education and communication for printers, prepress services, and other users of
JDF-enabled process automation solutions.
The Advisory Board is the highest authority in CIP4 and shapes the organization's direction and agenda. It is made up of one representative of each Partner Member, seven representatives of the Full Members, and three representatives of the Associate Members.

"This interoperability was demonstrated earlier this year at drupa 2004 and again this month at the JDF Pavilion at GRAPH EXPO(r) and CONVERTING EXPO(r) in Chicago. During the coming months, CIP4 will continue to work on its interoperability goals including ICS (Interoperability Conformance Specifications) documents and the new ICS certification
program (in coordination with GATF) as well as continuing to host "CIP4 Interops" where developers can come together to test product pairings and pursue the development of open standards in a open, cooperative
