Charrette Selects Dr. Graphix Imaging To Source Proprietary Products In Asia

Press release from the issuing company

Woburn, Massachusetts, September 23, 2004 -- Charrette, a leading provider of imaging products to design professionals has entered into a non-exclusive product sourcing arrangement with Dr. Graphix Imaging to source products for Charrette in Asia. This agreement will broaden the Charrette product offering. "We recognize that, like many other companies, we must continue to develop unique new products that better serve specific customer needs," said Jack Ford, Charrette Chairman and CEO. "Asia is becoming a significant source of high quality products at very competitive prices. Sourcing products in Asia involves not only knowledge of the business practices in the various countries, but also the ability to monitor consistency in product quality and shipping practices. We knew that we did not have these skills in house and needed to partner with a group experienced in sourcing and quality control. Dr. Graphix has extensive experience sourcing manufacturing in Asia. In addition, it is ISO 9001. In the beginning, we expect to work with them to source inkjet materials, but we also hope to look for other exclusive products that we could bring to our customers." Dr. Graphix, located in Ontario, California, was the first company, through its adherence to IS0 9001 standards, to bring the best quality inkjet media products to the US market. It has been sourcing the manufacturing of its inkjet media and laminating products in Asia since 1996. It has a fine reputation for developing and distributing high quality graphic display products. Chris Chen, President of Dr. Graphix said, "I define Dr. Graphix as a 'Best Value Supplier'. Our goal is to provide western quality standards at Asian pricing. Through this cooperation with Charrette, we will be able to broaden our product offering to other categories, which will also benefit our other customers. I am excited that a company the size of Charrette has selected Dr. Graphix as a sourcing agent. I am confident that we can identify products that will meet Charrette standards and give its customers better solutions for their design and printing applications"
