Williams Named President of Banta Publications Group

MENASHA, Wis., Aug. 12 -- Banta Corporation today announced the appointment of Kimberly Williams to President of the Publications Group. She assumes senior leadership responsibilities for the Banta division that provides magazine publishers with premedia, printing, logistics, personalization, fulfillment and distribution services. Williams' previous position was as Senior Vice President of RR Donnelley's Specialized Publishing Services Group, which serves the special-interest magazine market. "Kim is an excellent addition to our strong print leadership team, bringing us a diverse and extremely relevant base of industry expertise," said Stephanie Streeter, Banta's Chairman, President and CEO. "Her background includes a valuable mix of marketing, financial, technology, sales and operational leadership assignments." Williams began her career at Arthur Anderson in 1987 where she gained experience in finance and acquisition valuation. In 1992, she joined the Boston Consulting Group where she focused on post-merger integration, and sales and marketing strategy consulting. In 1996, Williams joined RR Donnelley as Vice President Marketing, Retail Services. Shortly thereafter, she was general manager of two technology businesses serving the magazine and catalog industries where she grew the businesses through acquisition, venture capital investments and new-product development. Williams was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2000 and quickly assumed responsibility for RR Donnelley's corporate marketing function. In 2002, she became Senior Vice President of the Specialized Publishing Service Group. Williams earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
