Press release from the issuing company
KENNESAW, Ga., August 2, 2004 – Heidelberg USA will bring the passion and success of drupa to life at Graph Expo and Converting Expo 2004, showcasing significant new advances in printing equipment, including key solutions in prepress, finishing and workflow. The largest national tradeshow for the printing and graphic arts industry, Graph Expo takes place in Chicago at McCormick Place South, Oct. 10 – 13.
Eight Heidelberg sheetfed presses - large and small formats - will be on display with more than 40 live demonstrations running. Among the highlights will be the new models of the Speedmaster SM 102 and Speedmaster CD 74. Heidelberg equipment will be networked with new Heidelberg prepress workflow tools and integrated with new finishing equipment.
Heidelberg also will showcase other highlights from drupa, including the Prinect Experience, a series of eight workstations that will walk visitors through Prinect – Heidelberg’s computer integrated manufacturing solution and teach printers how to get started in CIM and how to leverage the equipment that already is in their shops.
“Just as printers from all over the world saw at drupa, our visitors at Graph Expo will see Heidelberg’s commitment to developing print solutions that make sense and bring value to doing business in new ways,” said Heidelberg USA President James Dunn. “The passion Heidelberg puts into making new solutions will help printers create new opportunities and run more productive and profitable businesses.”
With more than 40,000 square feet of exhibition space, Heidelberg’s 2004 Graph Expo exhibit will continue to be the largest of the show. Located in booth #1000, the company will bring to life the drupa theme – “Created With Passion. Made For Success.” – by running more than 40 applications that highlight the performance, flexibility and quality of its solutions. At the center of the booth will be a multi-media theater where Heidelberg’s sheetfed solutions will be anchor of the main presentation.
In addition to the new drupa versions of the Speedmaster SM 102 and Speedmaster CD 74, another large-format sheetfed solution on display will be a six-color Speedmaster CD 102 with coater and feeder. Small-format solutions will include two Quickmaster QM 46 presses, a four-color Printmaster PM 52, the Printmaster PM 46, a six-color Speedmaster SM 52 and a Quickmaster QMDI 46 Pro.
Heidelberg also will showcase a host of other equipment for the first time in North America, including the prepress Suprasetter H105, Prinect SignaStation 2.0 workflow color solution, Dymatrix 105 CSB die-cutter, Stitchmaster ST 350 six-pocket cover folder feeder and two sizes of the Eurotechnica perfect binders. Additionally, the company will demonstrate high-value digital applications with the Kodak Digimaster E150 digital production system and Kodak NexPress 2100 digital production color press, just as it did at drupa. In addition to equipment demonstrations, Heidelberg will display an Environmental Center, which will demonstrate products and processes designed to significantly improve the environment and health within a print shop.
