July 7, 2004 -- Domino Amjet Inc, the North American commercial printing division of leading inkjet printer manufacturer Domino, recently hosted a highly successful three-day ‘Open House’ event at its premises in Gurnee, Illinois at the end of April.
The event comprised an informative seminar program, based around key issues and technologies affecting the commercial printing market and demonstration of Domino’s key variable data print solutions; the Domino ON Demand.
Keynote speakers at the event, included Charlie Gaby from USPS, industry expert, Jill Roth and Cindy Wojtkiewicz from Banta Publications. Attendees were made up from a mixture of existing customers and potential future customers, with a percentage of Domino’s OEM partners also present.
David Mardon, Commercial Manager, Domino Amjet, is delighted with the outcome of the event.
“As a direct result of the Open House, we expect to close a significant amount of business over the next two quarters which, for a first-time event, is very gratifying. We were very pleased with the amount of support we received from both existing and future customers, with one attendee travelling from as far afield as Dallas, Texas.
The feedback we have received from attendees has been very encouraging and we are now considering hosting similar events on an ongoing basis, at different locations throughout the US.”
Thanks to Domino’s travel agency and event sponsor, Bannockburn Travel, event attendees, also had the opportunity to win a pair of American Airlines (AA) tickets to anywhere in the USA and a Chicago Citybreak with dinner at a five star restaurant included. The lucky recipients of these prizes were Michelle Billmann of Times Printing, Chicago, who won the AA tickets, and Tom Hawkins of DB Hess who won the weekend in Chicago.
