Hayzlett has been appointed to a second term as chairman and chief elected officer. Mr. Hayzlett will have the opportunity to extend his leadership role, and 20 years of professional management experience in sales, marketing, and governmental liaison leadership, with the worlds leading organization of sales and marketing management. “I am honored to have been appointed to an additional term as chairman and chief elected officer of SMEI,” said Hayzlett, president and CEO of Hayzlett & Associates. “The additional time will allow me to serve the leadership and members of SMEI, and further the organization’s goals.” “We are indeed fortunate to have Jeff Hayzlett as our chairman at this important time to lead SMEI in serving the growing needs of the sales and marketing profession throughout the world, said Jack Criswell, former president (1977-78) and chairman emeritus. “The organization and I look forward to his continued role, experience, and guidance.” Hayzlett joins a distinguished group of only three other former SMEI Chairmen who achieved the great honor of serving as chief elected officer for more than one term: Kinsey N. Merritt 1941-43; and George S. Jones Jr. (1944-46). This was during the World War II era when many of SMEI’s members were in the military. A.N. “Al” Sears served in 1951-52 and again in 1958-59. Jeffrey W. Hayzlett is president and CEO Hayzlett & Associates, Inc. a business development and public relations firm specializing in the graphic arts, technology, and communications industries. He also serves as the Chairman of the SMEI Academy of Achievement – Hall of Fame located in Freedom Square on the Oklahoma Christian University campus in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In addition, Hayzlett serves as a trustee for Syracuse University Graduate School for Sales and Marketing Management.
