CHICAGO, July 7 -- RR Donnelley today announced that John C. Campanelli, president of RR Donnelley Logistics, has been promoted to president of RR Donnelley's print business. (In November 2002, Michael Allen, executive vice president for R.R. Donnelley Print Solutions, and Robert Pyzdrowski, president of operations for R.R. Donnelley Print Solutions shared the responsibilities as co-leaders of the business unit after Ron Daly left the position to become CEO of Oce-USA Holding.) This business is responsible for magazine, book, telephone directory and catalog/retail insert printing as well as premedia services. In conjunction with this announcement, RR Donnelley promoted William R. McLennan to president of RR Donnelley Logistics. These promotions are effective immediately. "Under John's strategic leadership, our logistics business has developed new capabilities and has delivered strong top and bottom line growth," said William L. Davis, chairman, president and chief executive officer for RR Donnelley. "Additionally, John has developed a strong management team at RR Donnelley Logistics." Campanelli, 46, has been with RR Donnelley for more than 23 years. Prior to John's six years at RR Donnelley Logistics, he spent 17 years in our magazine, catalog and retail printing operations including serving as the senior vice president of operations and senior vice president of technology. "Adding John's leadership, experience and insight to the tremendous leadership team already in place in our print business is both a natural and timely move," stated Davis. "As we continue to transform our business, John's strategic leadership will enable us to deliver distinctive service solutions to our customers backed by world-class manufacturing processes." McLennan, 45, initially came to RR Donnelley in 1996. Most recently, he was the chief operating officer for RR Donnelley Logistics. In this role, he was responsible for all RR Donnelley Logistics operations, finance and continuous improvement initiatives. "With a major role in many strategic initiatives, Bill has been an integral part of RR Donnelley Logistics' success over the last few years," said Davis. "Bill is a great leader and he will continue to focus and execute on the company's plan to profitably grow our logistics business."
