Quad/Graphics has earned a five-year contract renewal from the Advance Magazine Group, which includes Conde Nast Publications, Fairchild Publications, the Golf Digest Companies, and other companies. The new contract calls for Quad/Graphics' nationwide Quad/Imaging network to continue prepping 13 of Advance's magazine titles plus an additional 10 magazine titles the publisher is moving to Quad from other prep houses. "This contract builds on our successful, mutually beneficial relationship with Quad, which has established a tremendous platform for Advance to leverage." Other factors that led the Advance Magazine Group to extend and expand its relationship with Quad/Graphics, according to Mr. Orlin, are the company's service, cost efficiencies, scheduling, turnaround times, seamless prepress facility network (SiteSync), Theory of Constraints management systems, ISO-9000 certification and continuous process-improvement procedures. "With our seamless facility network, high-tech equipment, and exclusive communication and collaboration Smartools, we've been able to customize a flexible platform to meet Advance's objectives and growth."
