StreamServe Launches Output Center to Provide End-to-End Print Management
Press release from the issuing company
ORLANDO, FL, Jun. 17, 2003 -- Today at SAPPHIRE 2003 Orlando, SAP's international customer conference, StreamServe announced the launch of StreamServe Output Center, a printing solution that complements its already powerful StreamServe Business Communication Platform (BCP). StreamServe Output Center will enable companies to simultaneously track print jobs on multiple printers in various formats and guarantee that critical documents are actually printed.
Output Center is a new module designed and developed to effectively manage enterprise-wide distributed printing in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environments. It monitors the entire print environment and can be structured according to the unique business needs of an organization. With its easy-to-use interface, Output Center provides key spooling functions such as managing printer status, job status and notification of job completion. Output Center supports PCL and PostScript/PDF printers from a variety of manufacturers using industry standard PJL and IPP.
In addition to Output Center, StreamServe also announced the release of Delivery Manager, the newest addition to StreamServe's Intelligent Accelerators for SAP software solutions. Delivery Manager provides an efficient and well-integrated connection to the SAP spooling system through the SAP External Output Management (XOM) interface. With the addition of Delivery Manager, users can not only see that a job has been sent, but also that it has been successfully printed. Using StreamServe's Delivery Manager, customers now have a reliable feedback channel that can return detailed job status information back to the SAP solution.
"Enterprises are actively seeking ways to improve their productivity and ensure the effective delivery of critical business documents," said Nick Earle, StreamServe CEO. "StreamServe is already an industry leader in data and document formatting exchange. We can receive input from any system and then process, reformat and deliver that data in any number of formats through multiple channels. Now, with the combination of StreamServe BCP, Output Center and Delivery Manager, a user will have total visibility of a document's status throughout its processing lifecycle."
StreamServe Output Center and Delivery Manager can both be seen at booth #547 at SAPPHIRE, being held here June 16-18.
