Dayton, OH (June 06, 2003) - Scitex Digital Printing today announced the appointment of Thomas J. Murphy Jr. as the new director of transaction printing sales, Americas. The appointment, effective May 19, further advances the company's strategic plan of increasing market share in transactional printing in the Americas.
In announcing the appointment, Jim Gibson, vice president of sales, Americas, noted Murphy's breadth of experience in the industry. "Tom combines nearly 30 years of experience in printing with all aspects of information technology. His understanding of transactional document printing and the interrelationships of variable data printing and workflow solutions will be invaluable in communicating the Scitex Digital Printing solution to our current customers and prospects in this important market segment. I am extremely pleased to have him on board."
Murphy joins Scitex Digital Printing from Roll Systems where he served as vice president of U.S. sales for over eight years. In knowing what this company's technology can do and seeing first hand the ongoing research and development, I am excited to be part of a dedicated team truly driven to be the industry's leading innovator and provider of digital printing solutions."
Since its introduction in the latter part of 2001, the award-winning Business Color technology developed by Scitex Digital Printing has been gaining worldwide momentum and attention as the affordable process color choice for printing financial and billing statements and other types of transactional documents. The technology is integrated into the company's family of VersaMark Printing Systems that include the Business Color Press and Vantage products.
