Michael Mugavero back at MAN Roland

Press release from the issuing company

July 3, 2007 -- Veteran graphic arts executive Michael Mugavero has rejoined MAN Roland Inc., becoming the company’s Vice President of Sheetfed Press Sales in the East. Mugavero’s new realm combines the former Eastern and Southeast Regions.
“I am absolutely thrilled to return to my roots and again be a part of the MAN Roland family,” says Mugavero, who started his capital equipment career with MAN Roland in 1992 and worked for the company for eleven years thereafter. “MAN Roland’s history is replete with innovative solutions that create legitimate competitive advantages for our customers. By looking within, MAN Roland has made significant improvements to processes and systems, with the sole purpose of providing ‘Best of Class’ technologies and services to the varied markets we serve.”
Mugavero began his graphic communications career in 1971, working part-time for a commercial printer while attending college. Fifteen years later, he was president of the company, a post he filled for two and a half years.
The printing executive moved on to accept a partnership in a trade shop. When that successful venture was bought out three years later, Mugavero joined his favorite press supplier — MAN Roland — as a sales representative. By 1999, he was named the first regional General Manager of MAN Roland Inc., responsible for the northeast and Canada.
In 2003, Mugavero went on to form a new partnership firm, designed to rebuild and market newspaper presses. When that venture did not connect, he joined another press manufacturer, where he worked successfully for four years.
In accepting his new post, Mugavero cited why it’s good to be home: “MAN Roland is a company headed in the right direction and I am proud as can be to be part of this success story. Customer centered leadership, an indomitable spirit, and streamlined internal efficiencies generate performance and strong customer satisfaction that is the envy of the printing industry.”
In his new role, Mugavero reports directly to Vince Lapinski, CEO of MAN Roland Inc. “We welcome Michael back to a more innovative and more responsive MAN Roland,” he says. “He knows printers; he knows presses, and he knows success. But most importantly he knows how to combine those three elements effectively.”
