The booklet maker works with all output from the GATF-award-winning NexPress 2100 press. With its optional bar code reader, the Duplo System 2100 is ideally suited for finishing variable data applications that contain customer-specific information on every page. The new booklet maker provides three distinct productivity advantages over current off-line solutions: - Efficiently finishes any size run of booklets automatically, including those with variable sheet counts from booklet to booklet. This assures that every electronically collated set from a NexPress 2100 press is finished exactly as intended. - Verifies the presence of individual sheets while finishing and automatically stops and alerts an operator if any single sheet is missing or oriented incorrectly. - Guarantees the integrity of finished booklets, tracking each finished set. The booklet maker seamlessly integrates into the NexPress 2100 workflow, accepting all substrates printable on the NexPress 2100 press, plus up to 140 lb. index stock, and also accepts multiple substrates within a job.
