March 20, 2003-- Pierre Karl Peladeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quebecor Inc., today announced the appointment of Jacques Mallette as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Quebecor Inc. Jacques Mallette takes over for Claude Helie, who since January 2003 has been employed in a similar capacity with the subsidiary Quebecor World Inc. Jacques Mallette is a talented manager with substantial experience in financial and operations management. Until recently, he was the president and chief executive officer of Cascades Groupe Carton Plat inc., where he previously held the position of vice-president and chief financial officer. He also made a career for himself as vice-president of finance and treasurer of Petromont inc. and as corporate controller for the Societe generale de financement du Quebec (SGF). Jacques Mallette will also take over the financial management of Quebecor Media inc. His appointment is effective March 24, 2003.
