Press release from the issuing company

PARAMUS, N.J., January 10, 2003 – Profitable responses to the many challenges—and opportunities—facing today’s sheetfed printers will be presented at the 11th Annual GATF/NAPL Sheetfed Pressroom Conference, to be held June 1-3, at the Marriott O’Hare in Chicago. Through a comprehensive program of workshops, panels, and general and breakout sessions, industry leaders and experts will share their insights on how sheetfed printers can grow their businesses and better meet customers’ communication needs now and in the future. Attendees also have the opportunity to network with their peers and leaders from all segments of the industry. Dr. James Harris, internationally known speaker, author, executive consultant, seminar leader, and successful businessman, will present the keynote address: “Finding and Keeping GREAT Employees.” Dr. Harris’ research-based "best practices" approach to leadership, talent, and organizational excellence places him on the leading edge of today's leading business thinkers. [For more information, visit www.drjimharris.com.] An array of special events—including long-time favorites such as the “I Am the Greatest” press skills contest—add to the value of the Conference. New this year will be interactive, educational plant tours of area sheetfed printing facilities that have successfully implemented innovative technologies or procedures. Because the Conference addresses the full gamut of sheetfed printing issues, it has value for a wide range of personnel and executives, including pressroom supervisors and managers, production managers, lead operators, foremen, technology officers, CEOs, and presidents. Conference fee is $495 for GATF/PIA and NAPL members, and $595 for non-members. Companies can maximize the benefits of the Conference by registering a number of employees from different areas. GATF/PIA and NAPL member companies will save $50 on second and third registrations, and $100 on the fourth registrant. In addition, registrations received before April 14, 2003, will receive an early-bird discount of $50. To register, call GATF at (800) 910-GATF, ext. 310, or go online to www.GAIN.net.
