Baldwin Elects Directors and New Vice President

SHELTON, Conn.--Dec. 4, 2002--Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. announced that Akira Hara and Ralph Roy Whitney, Jr. were re-elected to the Company's Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting of Stockholders held in Trumbull on November 21, 2002. Mr. Hara is currently a Strategic Advisor to the Company and Chairman of Baldwin Japan Limited. He has been a Director of the Company since 1989. Mr. Whitney is Chairman of Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company, Inc., and has served as a Director of the Company since 1988. The Company also announced that at its meeting held November 21, 2002, the Board of Directors voted to elect Mr. Shaun Kilfoyle as a Vice President of the Company. Mr. Kilfoyle will be responsible for Marketing and Strategic Planning, and will maintain an office at the Shelton, Connecticut facilities, reporting directly to Gerald A. Nathe, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to re-joining Baldwin in September, 2001, Mr. Kilfoyle was Vice President and Group Publisher of the Printing, Packaging and Design (Publishing, Data and Research) Unit of Cahner Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier, the largest business-to-business publisher in the world. Previously, Mr. Kilfoyle held various marketing and business management positions at a subsidiary of Baldwin from 1984 to 1997. The Board of Directors also re-elected the following officers: Gerald A. Nathe, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer; Vijay C. Tharani, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer; and Karl S. Puehringer, Vice President.
