Lüscher and Agfa announce Joint Marketing Agreement

Lüscher AG has announced today that it has accredited Agfa Graphics’ new plates range :Aluva to work on their line of UV platesetters. Both companies have entered the agreement to jointly market Agfa Graphics’ Aluva for Lüshers XPose! UV. Gretzenbach, Switzerland. Mortsel, Belgium – April 20, 2009. Lüscher AG, the Swiss supplier of plate setting equipment for the graphic arts market, has a tradition to evaluate different plate types from various suppliers to work with their plate setters. The strict evaluation procedures guarantee the users reliable functioning of their systems. Lüscher AG has now also accredited Agfa Graphics’ new plate assortment :Aluva to work with the XPose! UV. The accreditation covers both :Aluva P and :Aluva N, the positive and negative working plates.

Agfa Graphics’ VP Sales and Marketing Marc Op de Beeck explains: “Building on our expertise we came up with a very specific design for :Aluva P and :Aluva N. Our engineering teams have refined emulsion technology we use for our conventional plates to also support UV imaging devices. So users of the Lüscher platesetter can now take advantage of a better quality plate, making the complete system more reliable.”
With this agreement Lüscher XPose! UV users will be able to leverage the performance of their equipment using Agfa Graphics’ plate technology.
