Deltagraf handles Rapida sheetfed presses from KBA
Press release from the issuing company
With effect from 2nd March 2009, Deltagraf Representações Comerciais ltda. in São Paulo has also assumed responsibility for sales and servicing of the medium- and large-format sheetfed offset presses from Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) in Brazil. Deltagraf managing director Luiz Cesar Dutra already signed an agency agreement for KBA's web offset presses two years ago, and was last year able to record several notable sales to top commercial printers on the largest market in Latin America.
At Drupa 2008, for example, the media group Editora Abril in São Paulo, a market leader in commercial printing not only in Brazil, but indeed throughout South America, renewed the companies' longstanding business relations in publication rotogravure by ordering its first 48-page Compacta 618 offset press from KBA.
KBA views Brazil as one of the most important medium- and long-term growth markets for the print industry, and is planning for the future with this realignment of the local sales organisation. It is hoped that the new sales partner will help KBA to return to its earlier successes on the Brazilian market. Only a few years ago, KBA was a regular supplier not only of commercial web presses of the Compacta series, but also of significant numbers of sheetfed offset Rapidas, above all in the B2 and B1 format classes, and can still point to a broad customer base with documented interest in the high-performance Rapida sheetfed offset technology.
Deltagraf managing director Luiz Cesar Dutra counts 15 years of experience in the print industry and, together with his team, is looking forward to offering sheetfed offset users in Brazil optimum after-sales service, the decisive prerequisite for lasting customer ties.
