John Schlich Chosen as Envelope Manufacturers Association Member of the Year

11/12/02 - ALEXANDRIA, VA - John H. Schlich, senior vice president of Operations for Atlantic Envelope Company, has been awarded the 2002 Daniel H. Lipman Member-of-the-Year Award by the Envelope Manufacturers Association (EMA). The award was presented during EMA's 2002 Fall Meeting in San Francisco, CA. The criteria to qualify for the Daniel H. Lipman Member-of-the-Year Award includes exhibiting leadership abilities within the association, actively participating in at least two committees, participating in other EMA programs, exhibiting creative/innovative ideas involving the association and the industry, and exhibiting leadership abilities within his/her company. Mr. Schlich is extremely involved in both EMA and the envelope manufacturing industry. Within EMA, he is the chairman of both the Postal Affairs Committee and the Mailing Systems Working Group, and is one of two representatives to the Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) of the United States Postal Service (USPS). Previously, he was a member of the EMA board of directors and served as chairman of the Finance Committee. The Daniel H. Lipman Member-of-the-Year Award is named for Daniel H. Lipman who was an active participant in the adhesive and envelope industry for over 60 years until his death in 1998. The award is presented annually at EMA's Fall Meeting.
