Net sales for the third quarter of 2002 were $108.1 million, representing a slight increase over prior year's quarter of $107.5 million. Net earnings for the third quarter of 2002 were $0.2 million compared to a loss of $1.8 million in the third quarter of 2001. Earnings before income taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), excluding a gain on debt extinguishment of subordinated exchange debenture of $3.4 million, were $15.2 million for the third quarter of 2002 compared to $19.0 million in the third quarter of 2001. The quarter's results reflect growth in the commercial and core education print operations fully offset by continuing weakness in the specialty print and service operations.
