QTI Places Fourth Color Control System in Latin America
Press release from the issuing company
Infagon To Enjoy the Benefits of QTI and System Brunner’s Combined Technology
Sussex, Wisconsin – Grupo Infagon Sigma Graph, S.A. recently became the second commercial printer in Mexico’s highly competitive web offset market to purchase the QTI Color Control System (CCS) with Instrument Flight. As a result, Infagon becomes QTI’s fourth CCS customer for the Latin America region. The CCS will be installed on a Mitsubishi Diamond 16 press later this year, along with a full complement of QTI press controls, including the Register Guidance System V, Print-to-Process Controller 3000X, and the Web Detection System 3030.
"Infagon recognizes the benefits of standardization, consistency, and differentiation that come with using QTI’s Color Control with System Brunner’s unique Instrument Flight software," said Jose Martinez, QTI Sales Manager for Latin America.
QTI’s CCS with Instrument Flight is the only closed loop color control system on the market that controls three-color gray balance and midtone dot gain. The CCS takes the guesswork out of color control by using patented video densitometric technology to reliably and consistently measure and control color. The system’s automatic ink adjustments result in color that is uniform, predictable, and repeatable.
The CCS with Instrument Flight is a result of QTI’s partnership with System Brunner, the market leader in the definition of EuroStandards. System Brunner’s competence is based on its in-depth knowledge of all printing processes and on its highly developed measuring, evaluation and interpretation techniques.
Only in business for 10 years, Infagon is already known throughout the region for employing the latest prepress and press technology in order to provide its customers with the highest quality products at the most optimal pricing. The company prints automobile brochures, annual reports, magazines and books. Infagon has three other divisions along with its web printing operation--a prepress house, a sheetfed operation and a digital services division.
