HUDSON, N.H., Sept. 25 -- Presstek, Inc., a leading provider of direct digital imaging technology, today announced that John W. Ellis has joined the company as Eastern Region DI Business Manager. In his role Ellis is responsible for supporting Xpedx Import Group and the Ryobi 3404DI press in the Eastern Region of the United States. Ellis brings more than 20 years of graphic arts and customer experience to Presstek. Most recently, he was responsible for sales of electronic imaging equipment for printers at Northeastern Graphic Supply. Prior to that, Ellis was with Scitex America Corp. (now Creo) for thirteen years in a variety of sales and customer management positions including dealer sales representative, regional sales support manager, technical consultant and customer education supervisor. Ellis began his graphic arts career as a prepress specialist for a variety of printing companies and trade shops in Massachusetts. "Ellis's appointment is in line with our market-focused strategy to increase support for all of our DI partners. Xpedx Import Group has an ambitious DI plan for 2003," said Stan Najmr, Presstek's General Manager, On- Press Imaging.
