Shipments Follow Successful Beta Testing LOD, Israel, Sept. 23 -- NUR Macroprinters, a leading supplier of wide-format and superwide digital printing systems and consumables for out-of-home advertising, today announced that its new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C series of photorealistic production printers have begun shipping to customers worldwide. The new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C production presses underwent intensive beta testing at several NUR customers` sites. Among these were Vertical Vision International in the Netherlands, and Inkjet International in Dallas, Texas. Results from Vertical Vision: Vertical Vision International, one of Europe's leading digital print service providers with multiple sites across Europe, installed the 8-color upgrade to the NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 in May 2002, and began production immediately thereafter. The machine's superior 8-color printing capabilities enabled it to meet the requirements for many indoor and outdoor advertising applications. Based on its successful experience, and after taking a fresh look at competitive offerings at FESPA 2002 earlier this year, Vertical Vision International purchased two additional NUR Fresco HiQ 8C units. "The standards for quality are rising, as clients demand photorealistic images. The NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 8C's ability to print 8 colors gives our output a fantastic color range and depth. Results from Inkjet International: Inkjet International, in Dallas, Texas installed the 8-color upgrade kit for the NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 in June 2002 and immediately began using the 8-color capability to produce many of the applications it previously printed in 4- colors. "As part of our commitment to excellence, we introduced the NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 over a year ago. Our customers have been very pleased with the output. The higher quality provided by the Fresco HiQ 8C delivers unbeatable image quality and unmatched productivity and reliability," stated Jittu Sarna, President of Inkjet International. There are two 8C models available: the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C 3200 with a print width up to 10.5 feet (3.2 meters) and the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C 1800 which is capable of printing up to 6 feet wide (1.8 meters). Users can easily switch between 4-or 8-colors depending on their job requirements. Moreover, in keeping with NUR's policy to ensure upgrade paths for its customers, all NUR Fresco 4-color units in the field can be upgraded to the 8-color level. List prices for the machines are US$459,000 and US$329,000 respectively. The 8-color upgrade kit for NUR Fresco models currently in the field is priced at US$60,000.
