PODi Launches Find a Service Provider Service

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY -- PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, has launched the Beta version of its newest program to create value for print and marketing service providers - Find a Service Provider - a free, searchable online database developed by Caslon, PODi's Affiliate. The database is the first part of a larger plan to help service providers raise demand for digital print, boost exposure in the marketplace, and get leads to expand their businesses. All marketing and print service providers are invited to participate in this uncomplicated, no-cost way to generate more leads.

Explains Rab Govil, President of PODi and Caslon, "Service Providers have the technical expertise, strategic marketing knowledge and proof that relevant solutions outperform the status quo. What they really need now is a new promotion channel where they can make contact with marketers. Our goal is to make that connection effortless with this new online database."

Basic company listings and search functionality on Find a Service Provider are free. Premium listings, which include a full company description, company logo, top appearance in all searches, preferred vendor referrals, and more, are available exclusively to PODi members, as a benefit of their membership. The Beta version is available online now, at www.caslon.net/FindSP for service providers to add or update their listings.

Marketers will be able use Find a Service Provider to locate and connect with a global network of service providers, and for exceptionally wide-ranging knowledge and experience, PODi members. This one-stop resource will make it simple to find the right service provider - whether the need is for a direct mail or cross-media campaign to generate leads, an online ordering system, or simply fast, high quality printing services.

"We'll be continuing this initiative with a variety of additional programs aimed at increasing the use of applications powered print," says Govil. "We're planning a series of free educational webinars targeted to marketer's concerns, as well as additional resources and content delivered throughout the year. PODi and Caslon are committed to helping the industry, and PODi members, educate the marketplace and grow their businesses in 2009."
