Portland, OR (March 26, 2002) -- LDR International announced today plans to employ Robin Michalisko as Sales Manager responsible for direct hardware and software sales in the Western U.S. and channel support nationwide. Mr. Michalisko has extensive graphic arts industry experience in business development, technical sales, and marketing. Before coming to LDR , he worked for IKON North America as Business Development Manager of Digital Express. Before that he worked as Marketing Director of PrintBid.com (a division of ImageX.com), the industry's largest eProcurement site at the time. In the early 1990s, as a Technical Sales Specialist for RR Donnelley & Sons in Portland, Oregon, Mr. Michalisko was instrumental in building his facility's prepress department and he was a driving force behind its conversion from pure analog processes to digital output and eventually CTP. Early on in his career, Mr. Michalisko taught classes on digital printing, prepress design, and other technical printing-related subjects at the University of Oregon. Mr. Michalisko is scheduled to start his new position April 15, 2002.
