John Aria of VIP Litho to Address Print Procurement Session at ON DEMAND

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 25, 2002- John Arai, Vice President, New Business Development, VIP Litho, Inc., will participate in the session "Making the Web Work" taking place Thursday, April 25, from 10:30 am - Noon, at the ON DEMAND Digital Printing & Publishing Strategy Conference and Exposition at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York. Arai will address how his company has used the printChannel.com e-print procurement system for over four years to meet the printing needs of medium and large corporate organizations in the U.S.
"Making the Web Work" is designed for owners, senior executives, managers, and marketing professionals of print-for-pay and in-plant document service providers. Holly Muscolino, Associate Director, CAP Ventures, Inc will moderate the session. It is intended to provide participants with an understanding of various solutions, business models, and value propositions available. It will also help participants determine which strategies work best for their own businesses.
In addition to six keynote sessions, ON DEMAND includes tutorials and conference sessions. The Exposition and Keynotes run April 23 through April 25. Arai is currently Vice President of New Business Development for VIP Litho, Inc., which has recently been developed as an independent company, purchased from Lason Systems.

Arai has been in the printing industry since 1978, with experience in many facets of the business. He has run pre-press, press and bindery equipment. He has installed and configured production management systems and printing estimating systems. His job titles during his 14 years at Lason Systems have included Chief Estimator, Planning Supervisor, Production Manager and Sales Manager.
His most recent responsibilities as General Manager of the LasonOnline Division of Lason Systems include consulting on software development, vendor relationship management for the LasonOnline ASP system, sales, and sales management. As General Manager he was also responsible for all costs and revenue related for the Division.
