Appleton Papers Introduces Two Dual-Color Thermal Papers
Press release from the issuing company
APPLETON, Wis., March 11 -- Appleton Papers Inc. has introduced a new generation of high-quality direct thermal papers that feature red/black and blue/black printing combinations. Appleton's advanced color technology creates a new standard for resolution and color separation in dual-color direct thermal imaging.
These high-technology thermal receipt products (Dual RB 100-2.3 and Dual BB 100-2.3) generate sharp and precise red/black and blue/black imaging that provides distinctive accents within a receipt. The rich, robust black and bright second-color imaging delivers print clarity that gives retailers a superior point-of-sale (POS) medium to display enhanced logos, highlight a receipt entry line or a special offer, advance a brand's image, add graphic detail, promote loyalty program information, even enhance general security.
Dual RB and Dual BB are ideal for POS receipt printers equipped with dual-color capability firmware. Both versions of the paper are top-coated to provide the imaging a moderate level of protection from handling and the environment. Key applications for these dual-color products include hospitality, retail, ATM and grocery receipts, as well as coupons.
"A little color can make a big difference in direct thermal imaging,'' said Mike Cove, Appleton Papers' thermal marketing manager. "Whether it's to highlight a receipt line entry, create a bolder POS logo, add graphic detail, call attention to loyalty program information, or enhance general security, a second color can add up to a big advantage. That's when color really counts.''
With its Dual-Colors product line, Appleton has raised the standard for print quality with image resolution and color separation that is bright and rich. These products are a new generation of high-quality and high-technology direct thermal papers that deliver true two-colored output that gives retailers receipts that really stand out.
The Dual-Colors product line has been added to Appleton's T1030 white grade POS thermal imaging product, which is the leading brand of domestic white POS papers.
