Avery Dennison Appoints Wolinsky as VP and Chief Information Officer

PASADENA, Calif.--Feb. 8, 2002--Avery Dennison announced that Kenneth A. Wolinsky, vice president of information systems at the Company's worldwide office products business, has been promoted to the position of vice president and chief information officer, based at the Company's Miller Corporate Center in Pasadena, Calif. "Ken's extensive operations and information systems background will be extremely valuable in leading the Company's worldwide information technology organization,'' said Philip M. Neal, chairman and chief executive officer of Avery Dennison. "We look forward to his important contributions that will ensure that our information management capabilities continue to be world-class and fully support our business initiatives.'' As chief information officer, Wolinsky is responsible for leading the Company's information technology organization, including the development and implementation of the Company's overall information systems strategy to support long-term business objectives. He reports to Daniel R. O'Bryant, senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer.
