Screen USA Shows Off Workflow Solutions at Miami Industry Event
Press release from the issuing company
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL. – Trueflow, the anytime, any place, any platform workflow solution from Screen (USA), has assumed a more prominent role with the introduction of "Power CTP". Linking the PlateRite series of thermal CTP platesetters with Trueflow’s newest version (2.0) will combine to give customers the most advanced digital workflow solution available. Version 2.0 of this intelligent RIP system has been introduced at the Graphics of the Americas show in Miami, Florida.
Trueflow integrates the latest Adobe PDF interpreter core RIP for a more stable and functional workflow, and is the industry’s only 100 percent web-browser software. Version 2.0 provides PDF 1.4 support in addition to processing PDF 1.3 and PostScript level 3 files. Optional features such as Job Definition Format (JDF) output and imposition software Flatworker 4.0, are testament to Trueflow’s incredible flexibility.
"Having the best digital workflow solution available is a hot issue with commercial printers today," said Mike Fox, Screen vice president of sales. "Good equipment is always important but workflow can make or break a business. That’s what separates Trueflow 2.0 from other workflows. When you take automatic job processing and tie it with PDF 1.4, you get the best of both worlds. There is nothing more reliable or advanced like it."
Easy to learn and easy to install, standard features with Trueflow 2.0 include preflight, direct interpretation and RIP’ing of PDF1.4, PDF 1.3 and automatic trapping, imposition and output to PlateRite. Trueflow can also process up to four different output formats including RIP’ed PDF, RIP’ed PS, Outline EPS, Outline PDF, normal PDF, one-bit TIFF, TIFF-IT, TIFF, DCS2 and PJTF. Outline EPS allows you to use existing Postscript level 2 RIP and proofing.
Trueflow’s TrapEditor software allows for quick and easy control of detailed trap settings. It can run on a separate Windows NT platform and is the only solution that can trap multiple text sizes and support image-to-image trapping. Trueflow’s new FlatWorker Ver4.0 software has the ability to import CAD files for package printing.
With unparalleled in-RIP trapping and OPI, one-time problem files with grayscale spot color TIFFs and Illustrator spot color vignettes no longer exist due to the state-of-the-art PDF core. Trueflow is the only workflow solution to combine these features with the web in order to provide an exemplary solution for computer-to-film or computer-to-plate users.
