The state-of-the-art solvent device turns out ready-to-use, photo-realistic graphics with up to three years outdoor durability. Using low-volatility Roland SOL INKs, it provides signmakers with a safe working environment that requires no special ventilation. As a six-color inkjet printer and hi-performance contour cutter all in one, the SOLJET delivers unprecedented versatility, productivity and durability. It lets signmakers produce water- and UV-resistant banners, POP displays, vinyl graphics, package prototypes and more. Except in the most grueling environments, such as on vehicles and floors, SOLJET graphics require no lamination. “The SOLJET is a product of years of Roland experience with inkjet printing and contour cutting technology,” said Rick Scrimger, Senior Product Manager. “It delivers stunning, ready-to-use graphics that are fade resistant for up to three years outdoors. Finally, creating durable graphics is actually easy.” Roland is developing SOLJET Certified Media (SCM) to provide signmakers with a completely integrated solution for creating outdoor signage. SCM will include pressure-sensitive vinyl, canvas, banner and backlit film. Signmakers can also print on select Roland Piezo Certified Media. The SOLJET uses Roland’s CAMM-1 cutting technology to provide hi-speed, precision cutting. It allows signmakers to cut out graphics immediately after printing, without having to reload or re-position them. The SOLJET can even function as a stand-alone vinyl cutter.
