Hudson, NH—November 13, 2001—Presstek, Inc., a leading provider of direct digital imaging technology, today announced that it is continuing to partner with Artwork Systems in hosting a series of half-day CTP seminars. The seminar will next be held Dallas, from November 13th to 15th.
The no charge half-day seminar, “CTP Financial Check-Up: Making a Healthy Contribution to Your Bottom Line”, will offer attendees an innovative way to look at making the move to CTP. Each seminar is broken into four sessions: financial assessment, CTP technology, color proofing, and workflow.
Taking a Healthy Look at your Bottom Line
The National Association for Printing Leadership will present a session covering budgeted hourly rates and calculating an ROI. This session will show printers how making a clear financial analysis is critical for the long-term success of their business. The session will provide specific information and tools, including an overview of the ProfitXL software package that will help the small and mid-sized printer make a solid business case for implementing CTP today.
CTP – Make it “Count The Profits” For Your Business
Presstek will showcase the award-winning Dimension thermal CTP system and Anthem chemistry-free plates. In addition to a live demonstration, Presstek will offer an overview of the latest CTP announcements made at the recent Print 01 trade show, and discuss how printers of all sizes are making jobs quicker – and more profitably – through the adoption of CTP.
Proofing – Drops, Dots, and Dial-in Color
Moving to an all-digital workflow has also meant adopting a digital proofing system. There are a myriad of choices in the color proofing arena - this session will discuss the latest products and offer practical advice on how to make the move to digital proofing a win/win for both your customers and your business.
Workflow – The Foundation of CTP
The right workflow is the cornerstone of a productive and profitable printing operation. Artwork Systems will show the amazing capabilities and production-centric functions of the Nexus system, and discuss the latest trends in electronic prepress systems.
“The time is now, more than ever, for the small and mid-sized printer to make the move to CTP,” says Marc Johnson, Product Line Marketing Manager for Off-Press Products. “This event will not only discuss the latest trends and technologies, but demonstrate – live - how workflow, proofing, plates, and CTP all work together as a complete solution, providing value by decreasing turnaround times and increasing productivity.” He adds that the seminar will show printers how to make an investment that can help them expand their capacity, increase their quality, and lower their costs all at the same time.
The schedule of seminars for this fall includes:
Dallas, Texas – November 13-15
Los Angeles, California – December 4-6
