White Stone, VA, October 2001—The Winter 2002 Executive Committee meeting of the Research and Engineering Council of the Graphic Arts Industry—to be held in Orlando on February 4 and 5, 2002—will include events conducted in the past as part of R&E Council annual meetings. In addition to the technology presentations which characterize R&E Council meetings, at the Orlando event the group will name its annual Kronenberg Award winner, and will induct new members into its Nonpareil Society. The timing of the event—immediately following the annual Graphics of the Americas show in Miami—will enable printing industry attendees to minimize air travel. The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, thus further minimizing travel expenses such as rental cars.
Commenting on the meeting, R&E Council managing director Ronald L. Mihills said: "The R&E Council endeavors to expose its members and the general industry to the latest technologies and operating techniques, as well as to provide unique networking opportunities among industry leaders."
