HUDSON, N.H., Nov. 1 -- Presstek, Inc., a leading provider of direct digital imaging technologies, today announced the appointment of Rushikesh M. Patel to Lasertel's Board of Directors, effective November 15, 2001. Patel has over 20 years of experience in opto-electronics and holds a master's of science degree in metallurgy. He has been a consultant to the industry for the past two years, and has served as consultant to Lasertel since September of 2001. Previously, Patel was co-founder and Vice President of Engineering at Opto Power Corporation from 1992 until 1999. In that position, Patel was responsible for the engineering and technical aspects of the business, as well as research and development, and product development. Prior to that, he held various management and engineering positions at Advanced Opto Electronics and Applied Solar Engineering.
