Imation Storage Professional Services Adds Two New Services

Press release from the issuing company

ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 22, 2001) — Imation Corp. (NYSE: IMN), a worldwide leader in data storage and information management, today introduced two new storage assessment and design offerings at Storage Networking World Fall 2001 in Orlando, Fla. The first new offering provides independent assessment and design services for the implementation of IP storage. The second is a storage virtualization assessment and design service. IP, SAN and NAS Storage Assessment: Until recently, storage networks meant implementing only Fibre Channel technology. Today, new technologies such as IP storage networks are emerging, and those technologies make expanded logical and physical storage designs possible. While this technological progress gives customers more options for designing storage networks, it also can lead to more confusion as to what technologies to use. Imation's IP, SAN and NAS Storage Assessment offering analyzes and evaluates these architectures and how they—either separately or together—can address a client's storage demands and satisfy its business requirements.
