NUR Highlights Latest Wide-Format Printer Models at imageWorld 2001

Press release from the issuing company

San Antonio, TX; October 18, 2001 - NUR Macroprinters (Nasdaq: NURM), a global market leader in wide and superwide digital printing solutions for the out-of-home advertising market will be highlighting two recently announced wide-format printing systems - the NUR Salsa Ultima series and the NUR Fresco HiQ series - in booth #900 at the upcoming imageWorld 2001 expo. ImageWorld 2001, Mexico`s leading trade show for the signmaking, screen-printing and digital imaging industries, runs November 8- 10, 2001 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, Mexico. Both a NUR Salsa Ultima 3200 and a NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 (both print 3.2 meters wide) will be available in the NUR America booth for running live demonstrations and printing samples for visitors to take away with them. In addition, product experts that cover Latin American countries from NUR America sales, support and NUR Media Solutions will be available in the booth to answer questions from customers and prospects about NUR`s products for wide-format and superwide digital printing. "Our ongoing participation at this very significant show is indicative of the continuing importance of the Latin American market to NUR," says Judith Vandsburger, Director of Marketing at NUR America, Inc. "We remain very sensitive to the needs of the Latin American market, and continue to focus our efforts on improvements to our customer service, sales and technical support offerings." New NUR Fresco HiQ series of digital production printers There are two models in the newly announced NUR Fresco HiQ series - the NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 (3.2 meter) and 1800 (1.8 meter) digital screenless production printing presses. The new machines provide a production-oriented solution for short to medium run wide-format print jobs including fleet graphics, 30-sheet posters, bus shelters and self-adhesive vehicle graphics. The imageWorld 2001 show marks the first public showing in the Americas of the new machine which had had originally been scheduled for introduction at the cancelled SGIA 2001 in Anaheim, CA. The full printhead warranty included with the new HiQ version of NUR Fresco helps eliminate the variable cost of semi-consumables. Other new features include double density printing for producing backlit output, new PrinTop printer control software version 1.3, an improved ink system and electronics, and a new NUR Flash 1.0 RIP. The new NUR Fresco HiQ models replace the original versions of the machines in the company`s product line. A field-installable upgrade kit for original NUR Fresco machines is also available. The company expects shipping of this product to commence in November 2001. NUR Salsa Ultima series of cost-effective, photorealistic printers Making its first time debut in the Mexican market is the NUR Salsa Ultima series of photorealistic printers that NUR introduced earlier this year at the International Sign Association SignExpo 2001 in Las Vegas. A NUR Salsa Ultima 3200 (capable of producing prints 3.2 meters wide) will be running live demonstrations and printing samples for visitors to the booth. The NUR Salsa Ultima models of cost-effective wide-format digital printers are the fastest photorealistic printers in the market printing at speeds up to 60 sq. meters per hour. Eight color printing and resolutions up to 600 dpi make the NUR Salsa Ultima machines perfect for point of purchase displays, posters, flags, banners, event graphics and more.
